Abracadabra!

Adrian and I often wonder what the future will hold for little James, and what he might possibly decide to do later on. We both think he may actually become a magician.

Here he is casting his first spell

Lo and behold...

James Wolf has accidently stumbled upon thumbsucking! How absolutely cool!

Look at that!

Tricks!

Well, sweet little James Wolf is now entering the fussiest time. His fussies will peak around 6 weeks (in a few days from now... ewwffff!). Some days are so easy, and other days are, well, really difficult... he can be so fussy!

Here are a few things that we have discovered chase all the fussiness away from the little guy even if just for a few moments and allow him to, you guessed it, get some sleep!

Kangarooing around with papa in the Ergo carrier (thanks Michelle!)

Staring at light coming through the windows while in his swing in vibrating mode...
everything has be just right or he fusses!

Playing with Grandpa' Bruzzese after a long, long, long feeding and a full, full, full stomach!

"Tummy time", if done at just the right time.

Sleeping... finally!

During the last few days, James Wolf seemed to be going through yet another growth spurt.. Growth spurt=CONSTANT FEEDINGS + NO SLEEP FOR US!

Deliriously tired... he doesn't care

Finally asleep. Shhh... don't make a peep, please!

Going out into the wold, and staying in

September was all about first trips out into the world:

Here we are at Grandma' and Grandpa' Popovich's house...

The comfort of Grandma's arms

One... one tiny baby! Ha, ha, ha....

Ahh, the many pleasures of bath time.

Not crying... yet

We made it!

Growing, growing, growing some more!

Each month, we are going to photograph James Wolf beside his lion to see just how much he's changing...

STAY TUNED!

1 month old:
So, our first official Growth photo shoot was a little challenging...

Sad!

Hungry!

Tipsy!

Sleepy!

Ahh, finally! This is the one.

Bringing James Wolf Home

We left for the hospital the morning of the 22nd of August as two, and a few days later, we came back home as three. The days and weeks that have followed have been surreal, wonderful and filled with challenges, surprises, laughter, tears and a few sleepless nights. But all in all, it's been an absolute dream and delight.

Adrian catching a few zzzs with James

We we worried that Boubou would feel left out when we brought James home, but he's been amazing. He seems protective over the Wolf, and can't get enough family time it would seem.

The boys

I couldn't help myself... isn't he handsome!

Our first born

And, here is a photo of another handsome little man... here we are in bed, after another long night of feedings and nocturnal naps, trying to catch a few more zzzs.

September was also a big month for little James... it was the first time that he wore shoes, overalls and a proper shirt.

Did these two sneak off to Sears without me?

September was mostly all about...feeding James.

Boubou stands guard as James eats... again

September was filled with visits from friends and family.

Tonton Dave and Auntie Emilie (to Dave's right!)

Grandma Popovich

Grandma Bruzzese

James' new buddy Oscar also came to visit

There were many others...but I have no photos of you, yet!

The Facts

We are Adrian (father and loving boyfriend), Jessica (mom and blushing bride-to-be), Boubou, aka, "Uncle Boubou" (the cat) and James Wolf, aka, " Mister Baby" (the newest addition to our family) and this is our story.

Adrian and I met in 2001 at a music store we were both working at and we have been together ever since.
Ma' and Pa' eating Key Lime pie in Key West

Boubou, we adopted at the SPCA when he was 3 years old... his past is a mystery to us, but he is the best, sweetest, softest and the most wonderful cat in the world.

Boubou

James Wolf... well, we are starting to get to know the little guy. He's pretty amazing! We have fallen madly in love with the little guy... googly eyes and all.

A little bit of history

Well, it all stared last December, when we decided to "try" to have a baby. We gave ourselves a year to accomplish this baby making task, but, to our surprise, one try was all it took! Right before New Years' Eve of 2008, we found out that we were pregnant.
