Ode to the blue hat.

A few days ago after trying to squeeze our favorite hat onto James' growing head, I realized that, just like the winter had come and finally gone, that the blue hat's days were numbered, and it made me feel sad... I was going to seriously miss that cap. So I grabbed James from his stroller and ran upstairs with him to snap some photos of his blue hat... our walk could wait a few minutes.

"Mama must be crazy... it's just a hat!"

Fun in NDG!

Our oven stove/broke, so while it was being repaired, we packed up our stuff, James Wolf and Boubou and headed out to Adrian's parents home in... NDG (10 minute drive from our place)! It might not be very far away, but it felt like being away on holiday. We had a lovely time and did all sorts of things like watch cable T.V., go for long, long, daily walks, feed squirrels, get the measles, grow some teeth in, have baths in tiny bathroom sinks, play with a yellow balloon...

Mr. Jolly Jumper!

A friend of ours told us about the Jolly Jumper... so we gave it a try. It was love at first sight between James Wolf and that weird springy (illegal?) contraption!

Bing! Boing! Zoink!

Adrian and I aren't bath people, so it took almost 7 months for James Wolf to experience his first real bath... and of course he loved it (so did I... maybe I'm am a bath gal after all? Imagine the repercussions that this could have?)

Sit, sat, sat!

About 1 month ago, James Wolf has figured out how to sit up, for a few seconds at first and now, for much much longer...unassisted (except of course by many strategically placed pillows, just in case he were to "have a great fall"). This has opened up a whole new world of possibilities and has made playing oh so much funner and a little dangerous!

"Spare some change for a cup of coffee?"

6 Months old already...last month! (I've been very bad at updating this blog)

Looking back at these photos of James which we took over 1 month ago makes me realize just how much happens in 1 day and just how busy James is as getting bigger, sweeter... and less drooly! I won't lie, I don't think I'll miss those warm puddles of, ummm, love!
