This photo shoot was technically the most difficult so far (Papavich, aka the prop. guy, was put to the test as James was constantly taking off his hat and grabbing at his lion-friend) but we still managed to get our shot.

Nope. James Wolf really turned 7 months (a few months ago, o.k., I admit, I'm a little bit late with these update). We are still taking a photo of him, every month around the 22nd, on this chair, with his lion friend.

Mr. Wolf and his 9 whole months...
Sunday, June 28, 2009
Hard to believe that James Wolf Popovich, aka, Jellybean (that's what we call him) turned 9 months old, already! This year seems to be flying by... our little man can almost crawl now, has 4 teeth, a whole lot of curiosity and EVEN MORE ENERGY. We have been trying to make everyday special, to make every day count, to live it as if today was all we had and getting better and better at it I am happy to say!

1/2 Republican, 1/2 Homie = 1 Mr. Baby
Thursday, June 25, 2009
Who knew!!!! We sure didn't... didn't have a clue actually that our little boy is 1/2 Republican, 1/2 Homie, yo!
The park and the toupet
They say good things come to those who wait; James Wolf has waited his whole life to try the swings and boy oh boy can that little boy ever swing!
Mornin' slide-around!
Cheese... and bananas, please!

James loves to eat more than he loves anything else in this world.
8 month old... hippie baby?
It's never too early to instill some good values and some common sense in the little guy... LIKE WEARING TYE DYE! I don't care what it's on, Adrian and I just love its bright, unpredictable swirls and psychedelic connotations. Furthermore, hippies were all about love and music and sharing... so on his 8 month old birthday, James Wolf had his first taste of the 60's (so to speak).
Jelly... jelly... jellybean (and some blocks)!
Saturday, June 20, 2009
James Wolf used to LOVE playing with these blocks (they have tiny holes and them and when strung together, make a snake). Alas, now, he had tired of them... and how!
Club mama on the head... with a wet sock?
James and I had ourselves a little photo shoot one hot summer afternoon. Papavich took many, many photos of us in all kinds of different positions, looking right, looking left, smiling, not smiling, posing, not posing...
Ode to James' green hoodie...
Although this second-hand heather green hoodie is for 3-6 months, James is still wearing it and we just love it. I mean LOVE it! Fort an ode to our favorite hat (not much much too small), now an ode to our favorite sweater (soon to be departed). Bring out the Kleenex boxes ladies...
Turning 30...
Not James... me! I turned 30 on April 19th and the very best part of that day was this cake that Adrian's mom made.
It's a family affair!
Our good friends Alexa and Sean from Vancouver came to Montreal to visit in April... with little Charlie!
Let's go kangaroo-ing!
Although James is getting a little heavier everyday, since he was a tiny peanut, he has been kangaroo-ing around with us in the carrier. Now that he's a big boy, we seldom strap him on... except for today! Oh what joy!
James turns 7 months old... impossible!

Ode to the blue hat.
Monday, March 30, 2009
A few days ago after trying to squeeze our favorite hat onto James' growing head, I realized that, just like the winter had come and finally gone, that the blue hat's days were numbered, and it made me feel sad... I was going to seriously miss that cap. So I grabbed James from his stroller and ran upstairs with him to snap some photos of his blue hat... our walk could wait a few minutes.

Fun in NDG!
Sunday, March 29, 2009
Our oven stove/broke, so while it was being repaired, we packed up our stuff, James Wolf and Boubou and headed out to Adrian's parents home in... NDG (10 minute drive from our place)! It might not be very far away, but it felt like being away on holiday. We had a lovely time and did all sorts of things like watch cable T.V., go for long, long, daily walks, feed squirrels, get the measles, grow some teeth in, have baths in tiny bathroom sinks, play with a yellow balloon...
Introducing a new addition to James' toy repertoire: the balloon!
The nightly bath in granpa's bathroom sink...
